Yaron
Gat : Now this is a question
everyone doing an interview for an Israeli newspaper must
answer - any chance for any more show and especially in Israel
(1) ?
David Lynch : In this world
there is a chance for almost anything. If we could play the
Olympia theatre (laughs), there is a chance for anything.
John Neff : The record hasn’t
been released there yet has it ?
Yaron Gat : No,
I tried to contact some record company guy…
John Neff : You said you talked
to someone after you played it on the radio.
Yaron Gat :
I did, because he called me after the radio show, and I even
sent him some songs. But I never heard from him…
David Lynch : It wasn’t his
thing. The Records Company, they hear a lot of things, obviously
the bottom line is money, so if say John Neff was 18 and a
woman and a little better looking he had a chance.

The interview
was originally made for an Israeli newspaper called
"ha-ir" (The City), which is one of
the most popular weekend newspapers in Israel.
The intention was to introduce the Israeli audience,
who knows David Lynch through his films, which
are quite successful, to Lynch’s other works (his
website and also Blue Bob).
